As part of our commitment to help residents maintain good health, George Regional Health System maintains a Group classesfull-service wellness center on Mill Street in Lucedale. The Center features modern equipment, well rounded exercise programs, personalized fitness testing, and professional supervision. We also feature special exercise programs for seniors.

Fit Fusion: Always changing, always fun, this class gives you a chance to explore the many avenues to fitness. Combining the best of cardio aerobics, resistance training, yoga, plyometrics (jump training), and strength moves, Fit Fusion will keep you on your toes! Challenge your body and mind with a 30-minute Fit Fusion session!

Core Commotion: A strong core can increase your balance and decrease your risk of injury. So come build a strong, powerful core in Core Commotion! Work your abs and lower back from every angle using fun and functional exercises to improve your core strength and really challenge your abs. Don’t like crunches? That’s OK because crunches are few in this ab-blasting, core-conditioning 30-minute class. Great for every fitness level.

Silver Hearts: Low-impact, but high-energy and fun, Silver Hearts is geared to those who are 50+. However, anyone who needs an effective workout is welcome to join. Fitness, cardiovascular, strengthening, flexibility, and balance are all in one 45-minute session. You can even stay seated as you work out!

Yoga: Gentle yet challenging “stretch & strength” moves make this hour-long class worth a try if you want to lower your stress level and blood pressure, while increasing muscle tone & flexibility.

Yogalates: A low-impact, but intense, combination of yoga stretching and Pilates. Feel the effects of total body flexion and toning in each 45-minute session.

Yoga Body Blend: This low-impact, powerful blend of different types of yoga practice will increase your flexion from head to toe. Relax and refresh your mind and body for one hour with total body stretching in a peaceful atmosphere.

Crunch 4 Lunch: Quick but intense, this 30-minute class is structured for those who don’t have much workout time but need to squeeze it all in. Work the ab and back region, while incorporating arms, legs and glutes at the same time!

Abs to Go: A jam-packed abs workout for those “on the go”. While the main focus is on core and strength, stability will also be added. A fast paced 30-minute class so you can get in and out during lunch.

Kettle Core & More: This complete body workout using kettlebells is a fast way to work as many as 400 muscles at one time. A quick way to burn calories and to firm, tone, and shape from head to toe. This 45-minute session is a fun way to gain strength and endurance.

Zumba: This calorie-burning, body-energizing fitness dance combines aerobic exercise and up-tempo Latin music. The typical hour-long class includes a warm-up and cool-down session. While Zumba uses dance movements, they are fairly simple for beginners to learn. Zumba music styles include salsa, cha-cha, reggaeton, mambo and merengue.
