The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) developed a national survey that asks patients about their experiences during recent hospital stays. The survey known as HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) compares hospitals based on 11 important hospital quality topics. “We are very proud for having received a 5 Star distinction for our patient care services. This Star rating comes from the people that matter the most; patients.” Greg Havard, CEO, explains.
According to CMS; HCAHPS star ratings allow consumers to more easily compare hospitals using a 5-star scale, with more stars indicating better quality care. Hospitals differ in the quality of care and services they provide to patients. “All of our caregivers strive to offer the very best care to each and every patient who comes though our doors,” adds Tabatha Pinter, Director of Nursing. “It’s humbling to know that we are the only hospital within a 100 mile radius to have a 5 Star HCAHPS rating.”
