Would you know what to do in a cardiac or breathing emergency? George Regional Health System nursing staff offers CPR classes not only for healthcare professionals, but for the community as well.
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a lifesaving technique useful in many emergencies, including heart attack or near drowning, in which someone’s breathing or heartbeat has stopped “We have adult, toddler, and infant mannequins and all participants will have the opportunity to practice life-saving CPR techniques on each.” explains Jane Oesterling, R.N., Education Department.
Classes are held in the Skills Lab (15 London Street) and are limited to six students. The cost is $25. Certification is issued upon successful completion. For questions or to schedule a class, call 601-673-6130.
