George Regional Health System Employees Raise More Than $8,000 for Relay for Life

Health system employees gave freely again this year in support of Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society. Throughout the year, many employees have money deducted from their paychecks. This year, more than $7,000 will be collected. Another $1,500 was made through t-shirt sales, a bake sale, and the Relay event where employees sold slices of watermelon, cotton candy, and boiled peanuts.
George Regional also took home the 1st place trophy for Best Campsite thanks to the hard work of the Radiology Department.
