George Regional Health System to Begin Community COVID-19 Vaccinations
Community members who are 75 and older and healthcare workers/EMT/paramedics will be able to make appointments for the COVID-19 vaccine beginning Thursday (1/14/21) morning at 10:00 a.m. Please use the link below to register online. VACCINATIONS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
Registration will open for those 65 and older on Sunday (1/17/21) at 10:00 a.m.
Vaccinations will take place Tuesday, January 19th, and Wednesday, January 20th from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the George County Fairgrounds and Greene County Hospital.
Please bring your insurance card and photo ID to your vaccination appointment. Healthcare workers will need to bring their badge. These vaccines are for Mississippi residents. The vaccine will be an IM injection to the upper arm. Make sure you wear loose-fitting sleeves for easy access to the injection site.
For those who do not have internet access, we ask that you reach out to your network of family, friends, and neighbors for assistance. If the website is unable to handle the volume and goes down, you will be able to call our COVID HOTLINE at 601-673-6101 and schedule your visit there. This option will only be available from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. starting on Thursday the 14th and going through Monday the 18th. This would be a slow process, so bear with us.
