The final phase George Regional Health System’s expansion and renovation project is now complete. George Regional Radiology celebrated with a ribbon cutting and open house. Community members, employees, and local officials gathered for the ceremony.
The spacious new department allows all radiology services to be housed in one location, making it an easy transition for patients when their exams are performed the same day. The space also features a dedicated women’s imaging center for mammograms.
Not only is the space new; new state-of-the-art equipment is now available including an Open Bore MRI and new CT Scan. Open Bore MRI provides exceptionally clear images of the brain, spine, joints, nerves, bones, and internal organs, which allows us to provide faster and more precise results for our patients. The new CT Scan provides faster, more specialized procedures. It delivers dramatically detailed images of the heart in minutes for early and rapid diagnosis of heart disease.
All radiology tests are read and interpreted by Board Certified Radiologists Dr. Leigh Ann Cashwell and Dr. Brandon Nichols. For more information about George Regional Radiology’s services, please call 601-673-6100.
