Kelley DeBar, Nurse Practitioner, will join Dr. Michael Stonnington at Stonnington Orthopedics & Joint Replacement. The new orthopedic practice is located in the George Regional Specialty Center (57 Dewey Street). They begin seeing patients on August 3rd.
DeBar has been part of the Community Medical Center team for the last five years. She brings 25 years of healthcare experience to her new role which includes family medicine, emergency medicine, neonatal intensive care, coronary care, and surgical/trauma intensive care. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Valdosta State University followed by her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of South Alabama.
“I’m looking forward to this new role in orthopedic medicine and working with Dr. Stonnington to bring quality orthopedics care to our community. I know many patients prefer not to travel to see a specialist. Because I will be in the office daily, the orthopedic needs of our patients can now be met locally, including many surgical interventions if necessary,” adds DeBar.
DeBar Board Certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is currently working on her Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) Certification.
“Kelley’s extensive experience and commitment to this community make her the perfect provider to move into this new role,” states Greg Havard, CEO, George Regional Health System.
DeBar and husband Dennis and their two children live in Leakesville. She enjoys traveling, sewing, reading, knitting, hiking, and gardening.
