Associates based at the Wal-Mart location in Lucedale recently donated coloring books to George Regional Health System as part of an American Cancer Society volunteer effort. “Color With Me” provides an opportunity for Wal-Mart associates to give a gift of encouragement to children undergoing cancer treatment, as well as treatment for other illnesses.
“We greatly appreciate the time and effort that was put into making these coloring books special for our pediatric patients. Hospitals can be overwhelming for young children, so these coloring books will add a touch of comfort to their stay,” said Stephanie Chisholm, Director of Marketing/Public Relations for George Regional Health System.
Wal-Mart in Lucedale is a dedicated supporter of the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraiser, Relay For Life, and engages its associates in volunteer projects throughout the year.
“Behind every Relay For Life event are many talented, determined, and extraordinary individuals who go above and beyond to support the American Cancer Society’s mission to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer,” said Leesa Mitchell, Community Development Manager for the American Cancer Society. “Wal-Mart is a dedicated team that lends their time, talents, and generosity to the Relay For Life movement, and we truly cannot thank them enough.”
